Sam received $25,000 of Seed Funds from A&T’s Provost Office to Strengthen his Collaboration with Dr. Newman onto a Full NSF Proposal by Dec/2024

Updated: Aug 18

We're excited to share that Sam has secured a $25,000 grant from the A&T Provost Office for our project titled "Development and Application of a Novel High-Throughput Imaging Platform for the Spatiotemporal Characterization of Intercellular Communication in Immune Responses." This preliminary project aims to strengthen his collaboration with Dr. Newman as they prepare a full proposal to be submitted to NSF by the end of 2024.

This research project focuses on the immune system to understand how different immune cells communicate and interact. Using advanced microfluidics and microscopy, the team is developing a platform to observe immune cell communication in real time with incredible precision. Our approach sheds light on the immune system's intricate workings and offers a versatile tool for studying cell communication in various biological contexts.

This project aligns with the goals of the Preeminence 2030 initiative and has the potential to make significant contributions to immunology and beyond.
